Digital Scanning/Digital Impressions
Digital scanners are a precise and safe way to take digital impressions that Dr. Barber will send to the lab. This is a superior choice compared to the goopy impression material that some dentists still choose to use. The digital scanners utilize a camera to create an impression that will create a better fitting restoration.
These types of impressions also greatly increase productivity, efficiency, and accuracy for Dr. Barber’s team. The use of digital scanners allows our team to send the impressions almost immediately to the laboratory rather than having to send through the mail. Other benefits include an improved quality in impressions, reduction in errors, and a more comfortable experience for patients with dental anxiety and heightened gag reflex. Overall, choosing to take a digital impression is a great way to increase efficiency and patient satisfaction within our office.
