How do I know when it's time to come in for a checkup?
We want you to have a great smile for life, so we’ll do everything possible to keep you on schedule for getting your teeth checked and cleaned. We’ll send a postcard and give you a call to remind you of your appointment time and date.
What do I do if I have an emergency when the office is closed?
Call the office at (304) 599-3736 and our voicemail will provide you with an emergency contact number.
My child has had an accident and his/her tooth has been entirely knocked out. What do I do?
Rinse the tooth—don’t scrub or scrape it—and put it in a glass of milk. Then call our office as soon as possible to arrange for your child to see Dr. Barber.
What precautions do you take to ensure patient safety?
We take many precautions, starting with state-of-the-art sterilization equipment. We also use barriers, such as gloves and clear plastic drapes over instruments to ensure your maximum safety. We are now able to provide our team with PCR Covid tests on-site as well as randomly testing our team.
What makes you different than any other dental practice I can visit?
We like to think that our patient care as well as the quality of our dentistry sets us apart. Your comfort and quality of care is our number one priority. We’re not happy unless you’re happy.
My gums bleed after I brush. Is this something to be concerned about?
Yes. Bleeding gums are often a sign of gingivitis or periodontal disease. Periodontal disease can cause bone and tooth loss. Periodontal (gum) disease has also been linked to systemic problems such as heart disease, stroke and diabetes.
We can help you avoid periodontal disease with a good preventive care program.
Crowns, veneers, on-lays, inlays and partials…where can I learn more about these procedures?
There are many modern dental procedures we can use to improve your smile in a much shorter time than you could imagine. We’ll be glad to explain and show you pictures of any or all of these procedures.
You don’t have to wait any longer to get the beautiful smile you always wanted. Modern dental techniques have put smile makeovers within your budget. We’ll work with you to design and build a dazzling new smile—one that will make you look and feel great!
Keeping your teeth healthy and functioning well—that’s the goal of all our preventive care services. We want you to have a Classic Smile for Life!
- Hygiene appointments (Regular Checkups / Dental Visits)
- Individualized home care treatment plans (tailored for each patient's needs)
- Sealants
- Night Guards
When you have a problem with your teeth, our goal is simple: we want to restore them so they look great and function well. You’ll smile, speak and chew naturally. All our restorative procedures have aesthetic goals. This is true even for back teeth. We care about function but also how restoration looks.
We combine new technologies with old-fashioned service to make your experience in our dental office as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
Gum disease — also called periodontal disease — is a serious dental condition. If left untreated, it can destroy your bone and cause you to lose your teeth. Gum disease has also been linked to other serious health conditions such as diabetes, stroke, and heart disease. We’ll work with you to treat gum disease and show you how to take care of your teeth and gums to prevent future recurrences.
